Backlink Gap: Outreach Strategy
Turns a raw list of domains that link to your competitors but not to you into an outreach plan, categorized by the kind of pitch each one actually needs, with a drafted email per target.
How it works
The only signal available for each domain is who it already links to and how many times, so categories are inferred from that link pattern, not from reading the page's content. A domain linking to two or more of your competitors reads as a directory or resource page that already accepts external listings, the pitch there is simple inclusion. A domain linking to one competitor many times reads as an active relationship, a partner, sponsor, or repeat contributor, worth pitching a similar partnership or guest post. A domain linking to one competitor exactly once reads as a one-off citation, worth pitching a similar mention rather than a deeper relationship.
Each category gets its own drafted email and its own realistic follow-up cadence (a directory pitch gets a short bump after a week if there's no reply, a relationship pitch gets a second touch with a concrete content idea attached, since specificity converts better there). The email is drafted, never sent, it hands off via your own mail client (mailto:) so you review and send it yourself from your own inbox. Lumismetric never touches sending infrastructure or your email reputation.
Targets are also ranked by domain authority within their category, so the highest-authority targets are surfaced first regardless of which category they fall into.
What this means for you
You get a real, differentiated outreach plan instead of one generic template blasted at every domain on the list, and every email stays yours to review before it goes anywhere.
Known limitation
Categorization is inferred purely from link count/pattern, it's a strong heuristic, not a read of the page itself, so an unusual site (a directory that happens to link to only one competitor, for instance) can land in the wrong bucket. The drafted email is a starting point meant to be edited to sound like you, not a final copy-paste.
