Domain Overview: Authority Score, Traffic & Keywords

Gives you a single snapshot of where your domain stands: Authority Score, backlink and referring-domain counts, how many keywords you rank for organically, an estimated dollar value for that organic traffic, and the same two numbers for paid search, all from real third-party measurement, not an AI guess.

How it works

Two real DataForSEO calls, combined into one snapshot: a backlink summary (the same data source behind your Backlink Profile section) and a domain rank overview lookup. Both run fresh against the live domain, nothing here is cached from a generic industry estimate or inferred from your site's content.

Authority Score comes straight from the backlink summary, DataForSEO's own comparative score for how strong a domain's backlink profile is, based on the volume and quality of domains linking to it. It's the same category of metric as Moz's Domain Authority or Ahrefs' Domain Rating, a relative standing among domains DataForSEO has measured, not a Google-published number, Google doesn't publish one.

Organic Traffic Value is DataForSEO's own Estimated Traffic Value (ETV): for every keyword your domain ranks for, they estimate the monthly clicks you'd get at that ranking position and multiply by that keyword's real cost-per-click, then sum it across all your ranking keywords. The result is a dollar figure for what that organic traffic would cost if you'd bought it as ads instead, useful for comparing the value of your organic presence over time or against a competitor, even though no money actually changes hands.

The domain rank overview call returns paid metrics in the same response as organic, so Paid Keywords and Paid Traffic Value are DataForSEO's own estimate of the domain's competitive paid-search footprint, built from ads DataForSEO has observed in the wild. This works whether or not you've connected your own Google Ads account, it's an outside read of the market, not a report on your account.

What this means for you

A higher Authority Score means a comparatively stronger backlink profile. A higher Traffic Value means your organic rankings are worth more in ad-spend-equivalent terms, not necessarily more raw visitors, a domain with fewer but higher-CPC keywords can show a higher value than one with more low-value traffic. Paid figures describe the market you're competing in, not your own ad account.

Known limitation

These are DataForSEO's own modeled estimates, built from ranking-position-to-click curves and keyword CPC data, not a literal read of your real analytics, two domains with a similar ranking-keyword mix can show similar Traffic Value even if their real visitor counts differ. And this is fully unavailable, not degraded, for markets DataForSEO doesn't support at all, Iran currently, the tile shows honestly as not measured rather than falling back to a guess. That's a separate, deeper gap than the AI-estimated keyword volume used elsewhere for those markets, this data can't be estimated at all today, by us or anyone reselling the same underlying data source.
